What we collect and why

On stampa.cat you can contact us in two ways: by writing directly to info@stampa.cat or by filling in one of the site's forms (contact, shop and course waiting lists, collaborations). In both cases we process the following data:

  • Name, email address, phone number if you include it, the interest option you choose and the content of your message.
  • Purpose: to reply to your enquiry or quote request, notify you when the shop opens or course dates are published, and assess collaboration proposals.
  • In the quote configurator, additionally: your order details (garments, quantities, positions, inks, lead times), the calculated price range and, if you attach it, your design file (image or PDF, max. 3 MB), which we email to the workshop. The brief's text and image are analysed by the AI model only to structure the order.
  • When you submit a form we also record, technically and temporarily, a hashed version of your IP address to rate-limit submissions and prevent spam. We don't keep your IP in plain text.

Legal basis

Our legitimate interest in answering the messages you send us and, for waiting lists, the consent you give by asking us to notify you. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to us.

Retention

We keep data for as long as the relationship lasts or until you ask us to delete it. Waiting-list data is deleted once the relevant communication has been sent or after 24 months of inactivity.

Recipients and processors

We don't sell or share data with third parties. The following providers support the service and act as data processors with GDPR safeguards: Vercel (website hosting), Resend (sending the form emails), Google Workspace (the mailbox where we receive and reply), Cloudflare Turnstile (anti-bot verification) and, only if you accept it in the banner, Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager (audience measurement). Google may process this data outside the European Union, relying on standard contractual clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The text you write also goes through an AI model. That case comes with different conditions, so we explain it separately in the next section. The quote configurator on this website is covered by this same policy.

The AI on this website

We use an AI model in two places, always to save ourselves sorting work and never to decide anything: in the quote configurator, to turn what you tell us into a technical sheet you can then correct yourself, and in the forms, to summarise your message at the top of the email we receive. We reach it through OpenRouter, which acts as the intermediary with the model provider; both may process the data outside the European Union.

What gets sent is only the text you write; the file you attach in the configurator never goes through any model, it only travels with the email. Your name, email and phone are NEVER sent to the model: they travel only inside the email that reaches us.

There is something you should know, though: we use the language models in their free versions, and the trade-off of those versions is that the provider may keep what it is sent and use it to train or improve its models. We cannot control that or undo it. (In the configurator, the text is first read by a paid decision model, which turns it into the job sheet —what is printed, where, with how many inks, how urgent— by answering closed questions; its provider states that it neither keeps what it receives nor uses it for training. The free language model only steps in when that model is missing a detail.) So please use the briefing box to describe the job and little else: no personal data, nothing about other people and nothing confidential. If you need to tell us something sensitive, call us or send an email and it will not go through any model.

On our side we store nothing: neither the briefing text nor the summary ends up in any database. The result goes to the workshop's mailbox, where a person reads it, and that is all. If you would rather not use the AI, the configurator can be filled in by hand and the forms work just the same without a summary.
