FAQ

What people usually ask, answered straight.

These are the real terms we work with in the workshop. If your question isn't here, write to info@stampa.cat or give us a call and we'll sort it out.

01

Orders and quotes

What's the minimum order?

We recommend 25+ units per design for screen printing to be cost-effective. Below that, we'll point you to another technique such as DTF or just tell you straight.

How do I get a quote?

The fastest way is the configurator: describe what you need and get an indicative range in two minutes. You can also email info@stampa.cat with garment, quantity, positions, inks and date, or call +34 931 80 11 79.

Do you issue invoices?

Yes. We're a registered company and issue a VAT invoice for every order, including samples and supplies. If you're a company, a freelancer or managing a tour, just send us your billing details with the order.

Is the configurator price final?

No, it's an indicative range based on the workshop's real price list. The final quote is reviewed by a person on the team based on the actual garment, colours and deadlines, and usually sent within one business day.

Can I order a sample first?

Yes. Samples are treated as a separate order with their own cost, since they require preparing screens and inks. For large runs it's often worth it.

02

Design and files

Which files do you accept and at what resolution?

We prefer vector files (PDF, AI or EPS) or layered PSD; we also accept PNG and JPG at 300 dpi at actual size. The higher the resolution, the better the result. Proofread your text: we're not responsible for spelling errors in the design.

Do I need to send a mockup?

Highly recommended: a simulation of the finished garment (position, size, colours) avoids misunderstandings. If you don't specify the position, we apply the standard placement and it isn't reprinted.

What print sizes do you offer?

On paper, standard sizes are A4 (210×297 mm), SRA3 (320×450 mm) and A2 (420×594 mm); from A2 up the price increases. On textiles, we adapt the size to the garment and position.

I don't have a design. Can you make one?

Yes. We offer product design: graphics for garments, identity, posters and file preparation for screen printing. It's quoted separately depending on the job.

03

Inks and finishes

Do you use eco-friendly inks?

Yes. By default we print with water-based, solvent-free inks whenever the design and garment allow it. We confirm it in the proposal.

How many colours can I print, and what do specials cost?

Up to 6 inks per position. Off-chart colours (specific Pantones) carry an extra cost, and fluorescent and metallic inks add €0.50 per unit because they cost more and need extra passes.

Do you charge for screens?

No. Screens are included in the unit price and we reuse them after each job. If you'd like to keep yours, you can buy it at an agreed price.

Screen printing or DTF?

Screen printing for runs from 25 units with a few flat colours: it survives more washes and the colour is denser. DTF for photographic designs, many colours or very short runs. We recommend based on your case.

04

Lead times, delivery and payment

How long does an order take?

Standard lead time is 10 to 14 business days from proof approval and the 50% deposit. Rush (6–9 days, +12%) and express (3–5 days, +28%) options are available. Large runs or special garments may vary.

How do I receive my order?

Pick it up at the workshop in Esplugues de Llobregat, Monday to Friday 9 am–2 pm, or we ship it by courier. Shipped orders are paid in full before dispatch.

How do I pay?

50% on order confirmation and 50% on hand delivery. Orders shipped by courier are paid 100% before dispatch.

Can I change the order once confirmed?

Once confirmed and the deposit paid, changes aren't accepted. If one is needed, let us know in writing as soon as possible: it may delay delivery. Cancelling after approval means losing the deposit.

What if there's a mistake?

You have 7 days from delivery to check the order. For defective pieces or errors on our side, choose between a refund or a reprint. As the process is handmade, we reserve a 10% error margin on the run.

05

Shop and courses

Do you sell screen-printing supplies?

Yes. We're opening the online shop at shop.stampa.cat with water-based inks, screens, emulsion, squeegees and blank garments. In the meantime you can buy supplies at the workshop or order by email.

Do you run screen-printing courses?

Yes. We're preparing beginner courses in textile screen printing, group workshops and tailored training for schools, brands and companies at our Esplugues workshop. Join the waiting list to hear about dates.
