For AI-made designs
You generated the design. We get it ready to print.
Stampa Serigrafia is a screen printing workshop in Esplugues de Llobregat, near Barcelona, working since 2014. We prepare and print designs generated with artificial intelligence: we clean the file, separate its colours into real inks, redraw whatever the mesh would not hold and optimise the printed area so the garment does not end up a slab of ink. From 25 units per design, with water-based inks, and the prepared films are yours to keep.
01 — Situations we know
The image is good. The file is not, yet.
- 01
You are told the image has no resolution
A generated image of 1,024 pixels covers about 8.7 cm at 300 dpi. If it has to go on the back, we redraw the key elements as vectors and size stops being a problem.
- 02
It has a thousand colours and you wanted four inks
We reduce the image to the number of inks we agree on, as flat shapes or as a halftone, and send you a proof of how it will look before any screen is made.
- 03
You ended up with a huge rectangle on the chest
The square background the generator adds is almost always surplus. We cut the silhouette and open up the large solids: the shirt stays a shirt.
- 04
Nobody explained what was wrong with it
We tell you what has to change, why and what it costs, before starting. If the file will not do what you want, you will know on day one rather than on the last day.
02 — What we do with your file
From generated image to printing film.
Cleaning and cut-out
Background removed, silhouette cut and edges resolved. Hair, smoke and fur, the difficult cases, done by hand.
Colour separation
Up to 6 inks per position, in flat colour or halftone, with a calculated white base if the garment is dark.
Redrawing what will not hold
Lines below 0.8 mm, impossible filigree and generated text, rebuilt with real type.
Optimised ink coverage
Less solid and more halftone where it helps: the garment breathes, weighs less and does not crack after ten washes.
03 — How it works
Three steps, and the first is to touch nothing.
- 01
Send it exactly as it came out
Not upscaled, not retouched, not converted. The closer to the original, the more room we have to work with.
- 02
We tell you what can be done
The real size it prints at, how many inks it needs, whether screen printing or DTF suits it, and a quote for the adaptation separate from the run.
- 03
Proof and production
We show you how it will look, you approve it and we print. The clean files and separated films are yours.
04 — Numbers
What to know before writing to us.

05 — Common questions
What we get asked every week.
Can I use an image I generated myself?
It has to be an image you are allowed to use. Generating it in someone's style, or with a character that closely resembles a well-known one, does not make it yours, and the person who answers to the rights holder is whoever puts the garment on the market. We do not print obvious copies of other people's work or trademarks; if you have doubts about a specific job, let's talk it through.
I upscaled it. Does that work?
Send us the original too, if you still have it. Upscalers invent plausible detail, and invented detail two tenths of a millimetre wide disappears on the mesh anyway. It is often better to start from the small image and redraw.
How many inks does my design need?
It depends on how it is built, not on how it looks. We will tell you once we see it: usually between 1 and 4 for a graphic design, and up to 6 if it carries a halftone. If it needs full gradients, we will tell you to go DTF.
Do you charge for preparing the file?
It is quoted separately according to the work involved, like any other design adaptation. We tell you before we start: nothing ever appears as a surprise on the invoice.
What if the design just does not work on fabric?
We will say so. Sometimes an image that is spectacular on screen comes to nothing once printed, and it is better to know beforehand. We will suggest how to solve it with what you have.
Send us the image and the garment you have in mind.
We will tell you the real size it can be printed at, how many inks it needs and what it costs. The workshop replies, usually within one working day.
